BASEMENT

The foundation is square, which allows (for the building structure above) to be rotated in any direction 90º subject to site access and view orientation. Using Quadlock block for the basement mezzanine walls means the entire structure could be built based on any foundation conditions, whether caissons in water, (then the ‘basement’ is a boat dock), strip footing on grade, or sloped terrain in any direction.

This primary feature allows for the construction methodology to adapt to any site condition, road access and meet any building code requirement. This also defined the building code conditions. With pre-approved permits for installation, the only application procedure is one of site review, geol/soils approval and sign-off for permit within a quick timeline.  This, I find, is the major obstacle to cost development considerations. The time to permit issue is one critical factor.
